How mailbox connections work
Mailboxes are connected through the provider's own consent screen. For Microsoft Outlook and Microsoft 365, Kovify requests delegated Microsoft Graph permissions (User.Read, Mail.ReadWrite, Mail.Send, and the shared variants Mail.ReadWrite.Shared and Mail.Send.Shared when you connect a shared AR mailbox). For Gmail and Google Workspace, Kovify requests openid, email, profile and the Gmail API gmail.modify scope, which allows Kovify to read, label and send messages within AR threads.
Kovify never receives your email password. Access can be revoked at any time by disconnecting the mailbox in Kovify or from your Microsoft or Google account security settings.
Accounting and ERP synchronization
Kovify reads customers, open invoices, credits and payments so aging, prioritization and balances reflect your books, and writes back the outcomes of AR activity such as follow-up notes, promises to pay, dispute status and resolution. Complex ERP environments — multiple entities, custom fields, non-standard AR structures — are configured as part of an Enterprise implementation.
Trust & security
Built on scoped access and explicit permission
Kovify requests only the access it needs to do AR work, and every mailbox connection is authorized by your team through the provider's own consent screen.
Secure OAuth connections
Mailboxes connect through Microsoft and Google consent screens. Kovify never asks for email passwords.
Least-privilege scopes
Microsoft Graph Mail.ReadWrite / Mail.Send (or the shared-mailbox equivalents) and the Gmail gmail.modify scope — nothing broader.
Encrypted mailbox tokens
Access and refresh tokens are stored encrypted and can be revoked by disconnecting the mailbox.
Authenticated access
Every user signs in to the application; AR data is never exposed on the public website.
Company data separation
Records are scoped to your company environment, including multi-company setups.
Role-based access
Roles and permissions control what collectors, managers and admins can see and do.
Kovify does not claim SOC 2, ISO 27001 or HIPAA compliance. We describe only the controls that exist in the product today.
